J. Scott Milner received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and his law degree from The University of Texas School of Law. While in law school, he was an editor of the Review of Litigation and an active participant in the Mock Trial program. Scott has been a law clerk for the Travis County District Attorney as well as the law firm of Minton, Burton, Foster and Collins, P.C. Prior to receiving his law license, he worked as a legal assistant to The Milner Law Firm.
Scott has handled many contested and non-contested family law cases including divorces, custody disputes, child support enforcement, property divisions, modification of previous orders, prenuptial agreements and paternity issues. Scott has also handled cases in front of the Texas Third Court of Appeals.
Scott is a member of the Austin Bar Association, Williamson County Bar Association, and Austin Young Lawyers Association. As an active Rotarian, he believes in the Rotary creed of “Service Above Self” and is active in many community service activities. He is a member of the Young Men’s Business League, The Texas A&M Capitol City Club, and is a director and founding member of the Cosmopolitan Rotary Club of Austin.
Away from the office, Scott enjoys running triathlons, rock climbing, mountain biking, golf, tennis, and spending time with his wife, Becky, and daughters, Mallory and Aubrey.
