J. Scott Milner received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and his law degree from The University of Texas School of Law. While in law school, he was an editor of the Review of Litigation, and clerked for the Travis County District Attorney and Minton, Burton, Foster and Collins, P.C.

Scott is board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specializtion and has been selected as a "Rising Star" by Texas Monthly Magazine. He has handled many contested and non-contested family law cases including divorces, custody disputes, child support enforcement, property divisions, modification of previous orders, prenuptial agreements and paternity issues. Scott has also handled cases in front of the  Texas Third Court of Appeals.

Scott is a member of the Austin Bar Association, Williamson County Bar Association, and Austin Young Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Young Men’s Business League, The Texas A&M Capitol City Club, and is a director and founding member of the Cosmopolitan Rotary Club of Austin.

Away from the office, Scott enjoys running triathlons, rock climbing, mountain biking, golf, tennis, and spending time with his wife, Becky, and daughters, Mallory and Aubrey.
